wolf goddess

dear wolf goddess
I fear my cloth will not hold up to you
the iron claws you bear will shred through my skin
my skin as paper-thin as my pretense
and I’ll be as soft as a babe in the woods
this is the trust that I put in you
that of a new-born
in your arms
at the edge of a cliff
at gunpoint
but
no pressure
